Description of the Works

Execution of specialist high-technology structural works for the seismic improvement of a residential complex dating from the late 1980s and consisting of three reinforced concrete building blocks.

The project adopted a strategy aimed at reducing seismic demand by decoupling the superstructure from ground motion, thereby significantly reducing the accelerations transmitted at the base of the building.

In particular, a retrofit seismic isolation plane was created across a total of 70 structural columns of the building.
