Description of the Works

As part of the extensive “Safe, Green and Social” regeneration programme funded through the Complementary Fund to Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Edilsystem S.r.l. successfully carried out a sophisticated specialist seismic retrofit project on the load-bearing structures of the ATER residential complex located in the Micioccoli district of Rieti, in Via Colarieti. The project was characterised by a high level of technological complexity and challenging execution requirements.

The works involved the installation of a total of 114 elastomeric seismic isolators and 21 multidirectional sliding bearings.

Thanks to this specialist structural intervention, the ATER Micioccoli residential complex achieved a very high level of seismic protection by decoupling ground accelerations from the dynamic response of the buildings, thereby significantly increasing the safety of residents in the event of future seismic events.
